Hyderabad, Telangana
HITEC City and Gachibowli house one of India's densest concentrations of tech and pharma employers — and one of its more demanding commutes. Get a doctor-verified medical certificate online instead of losing half a day to a clinic visit.
Hyderabad's employment base spans two distinct clusters: the HITEC City–Gachibowli–Madhapur IT corridor, and Genome Valley, one of India's largest pharmaceutical and biotech hubs. Both draw a large working population commuting from across the city, often facing an hour or more each way during peak traffic on the Financial District and Nanakramguda stretch. Hyderabad's summers (March–June) run hot and dry, while the June–September monsoon brings a seasonal uptick in viral fever and waterborne illness. As in most large Indian cities, HR teams at IT and pharma employers alike expect standard supporting documentation for sick leave, and a same-day online consultation avoids the need to take a half-day off just to see a doctor about the illness that's already keeping you home.
Genome Valley's pharma and biotech employers tend to run stricter shift-based attendance systems than a typical IT office, so a dated certificate that clearly states the advised rest period helps line up with shift-roster adjustments. HITEC City IT campuses are generally more flexible about format, as long as the doctor's details and issue date are legible.
More on sick leave certificates →Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988
Under Section 30 of the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988, an employee is entitled to leave with wages of up to 12 days a year on the ground of sickness or accident, and separately to casual leave with wages of up to 12 days a year on any reasonable ground, once they complete 12 months of continuous service. As with most Shops Act sick-leave provisions, employers commonly ask for a doctor's certificate to support leave taken on medical grounds, particularly for absences of more than a day or two.
Employees covered under the ESI Act at establishments within the scheme's reach can additionally claim ESI sickness benefit, which is administered separately by ESIC with its own certification process.

Yes. Heat exhaustion, dehydration, and related conditions during Hyderabad's hot March–June summer are assessed the same way as any other consultation, and a certificate is issued where medically appropriate.
The certificate itself is identical — doctor's name, NMC registration number, signature, and QR verification — but Genome Valley employers often run shift-based rosters, so a clearly stated rest period on the certificate makes it easier for their HR teams to adjust shifts around your leave.
Priority Care (₹899) and Premium Care (₹1099) are typically completed within 15–30 minutes of doctor review, which is usually fast enough to submit before a shift starts if you request it in advance.
Yes. Telemedicine consultations are recognised under India's Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020, and a certificate issued by an NMC-registered doctor after an online consultation carries the same legal standing as one issued in person.
